The tale is set in a medieval styled kingdom, ruled by the evil and ruthless Queen Somarra . In her quest for ultimate power, she uses a mirror as phycological enforcer to rule the realm. The capital city, K'sat, is her throne.

But Lady Violet, a white witch and Legion Commander, has had enough of the Queens treachery. She formulates a plan to capture the mirror. She is caught in the act by the queen and barley escapes with the broken mirror. The queen orders her captured and returned for trial for the offense of treason.

Violet calls upon the witches of the 9th Coven to resurrect the protectorate. But unleashing the protectorate could have devastating consequences. They are an uncontrollable cast of the most disagreeable beings the world has ever known.
